guess it has something to do with growing up near my grandparents farm and living in rural Kentucky.My Grandfather always kept his barns stained black. I always thought that red barns had sort of a nostalgia to them and those were my favorites as a kid. Now it seems that most folks put up pole barns with siding. It's always a treat for me to see an old wood barn in any color still standing.
