Working large and small....

I've been posting some work in progress of my larger works.  Here's an example of a 9 x 12 inch plein air painting and I've posted the photo to go along with it to show how I tend to "romanticize" my Kentucky!  I'm always intrigued with natural settings, but sometimes a building can be fun as well.
This one was just done a week or so ago.  The landscape has already changed to reflect the fall weather.
For this or other little paintings I have up for auction on ebay, just click on the link at the above right.

Autumn

Well, the fall colors are in full swing all over the country. Here, because of the drought, we didn't have our usual fiery colored hillsides. It's still been pretty none the less.

Much of my time recently has been working on school projects and trying to keep up with my daily painting. I also help my boyfriend bring cars back (he has a small car lot) from different parts of the country. When I'm alone in the car on the road, much of my time is spent looking at the countryside, envisioning how I would paint it. It's the artist in me no doubt, but I can't help but to look for the purple in the trees.

Fall

Well, fall has begun...though you wouldn't know it from the weather here. It's still very dry and hot. Because of this, we aren't getting the color we usually get in the trees. Bummer. I still have some good photo ref's from previous years and I've done a few fall scenes, including this one. Fall...Where are you?

Technology

Ok...so I am not among those who know technology. In fact, I always feel sorry for the help desk folks when I call in for help. I bought an HP Mini...which I love, but just found out that it's not capable of handling the Adobe Creative Suite...that I need for one of my classes. Aways something. On a cheery note though...the leaves are starting to turn here in Kentucky. I love the cool nights and the colorful hills this time of year. I guess I'll just try to think of that while I'm on hold waiting for software help this week!! Happy Fall everyone!
